How Long will I be 'asleep' if I choose to have an anesthesiologist at chairside?

'Generally my cases run about 4-7 hours on average.  I estimate that  as much as 2-3 years of conventionally scheduled treatment can be delivered to ideal in 1-2 treatment sessions.'

Will I always need an anesthesiologist for my dental treatment?

'I have found that once the barrier of overwhelming need has been eliminated, nearly all of my 'sleep dentistry' patients are able to return to my office as conventionally appointed dental patients.'

Will
Dr. Mueller accept new patients who do not require a chair-side anesthesiologist?

'Absolutely.  This practice has been built and maintained as a high value 'general practice' delivering a very broad spectrum of sub-specialty services that must be considered in providing fine dentistry for adults.  New patients and their referrals are a welcome compliment to me and my entire staff.'

Will my medical/dental Insurace pay for anesthesiologist at chair-side?

'Generally the answer has been 'No';  the insurance plans that have contributed monies, cut the dental treatment 'yearly maximum allowance' by the same amount.  Fee assistance through the various dental insurance plans is very much an individualized issue depending upon the the level at which your employer has chosen to fund your plan.  This office offers to work with many of the PPO plans as a welcome benefit to the patient  / some plans, regrettably, may not accommodate the expectations or treatment requirements of the patient.

May I contact some of Dr. Mueller's 'Twillight Sleep' patients prior to commiting to treatment in this fashion?

'I encourage this interaction between patients.  Over the years we have learned how we may improve our delivery from the conversations between patients.  Often these conversations occur by chance in the reception area.'

Will Dr. Mueller personally be performing all the dental procedures while I 'sleep'?

'Absolutely.  i find it personally rewarding to control and complete a comprehensive treatment plan in one or two "Twilight Sleep' visits.  Patient transformations are so astounding from a psychological and dental health perspective.  I am, however, interviewing as associate dentist with a similar hospital residency background to my own to expand the availability of this practice.  I anticipate this to be a welcome addition to the services we provide.'

I have a fine dentist; why should I switch my records to Dr. Mueller's care?

'I do not encourage any patient to abandon a professional relationship in which they have established a trust.  I do encourage you not to underestimate the positive long-term health implications these relationships offer.  Save this web-site to forward or print for a friend, acquaintance, or family member who may require 'Twilight Sleep' dentistry to overcome his/her anxieties to receive the benefits of healthy teeth and gums.'
